Open Bar

Open Bar

A hosted bar where the host pays for guests’ drinks rather than the guests.

At an open bar, the host covers the cost of drinks so guests do not pay. It can be priced per person, per hour, or on consumption (you pay for what is actually poured).

Open bars are generous but can be a large line item. Hiring experienced bartenders helps you control pours and cost, whether you limit to beer, wine, and a signature cocktail or cap the hours.
