Escort Cards

Cards at the entrance that tell each guest which table they are assigned to.
Escort cards greet guests as they arrive and direct them to their assigned table, usually laid out alphabetically on a display near the entrance to the dining room.
They are easy to confuse with place cards: escort cards send a guest to a table; place cards mark a specific seat. Both are usually produced by your stationer as part of your paper suite.
