Food & Beverage Minimum

Food & Beverage Minimum

The least you must spend on food and drink to book a venue, before tax and service.

A food and beverage minimum (F&B minimum) is the smallest amount a venue requires you to spend on catering and drinks to hold the space. If your order comes in under it, you still pay the minimum.

It usually excludes tax and service charge, and it often varies by day and season. One way to reach a minimum comfortably is to upgrade your catering, so weigh a venue's F&B minimum against venues that charge a flat room fee instead.
