A smaller dinner the night before, usually after the ceremony rehearsal.
A rehearsal dinner is an intimate gathering, traditionally the night before a wedding and after the ceremony rehearsal, for the couple, wedding party, family, and often out-of-town guests.
It is more relaxed than the main event and a chance for toasts and thank-yous. A restaurant or a private caterer can host it; keep the guest list and timing simple.
