RSVP

RSVP

A guest’s reply confirming whether they will attend, so you can finalize counts.

RSVP (from the French "répondez s’il vous plaît," please reply) is a guest’s response telling you whether they will attend. It often also collects meal choices and plus-one details.

Your RSVP deadline drives your final guest count, seating chart, and catering numbers, so set it a couple of weeks before your venue needs a final count. A stationer can include reply cards in your invitation suite.
