“Interlace” is an immersive​,​ live art performance blending painting​,​ music​,​ movement and fashion. The piece explores themes of intimacy​,​ expression and embodiment through a collaborative act of creation between visual artist Rachel Berkowitz and musician Xtina Del Valle. As Xtina performs both original musical compositions as well as crowd- favorite covers with live accompaniment​,​ Rachel paints directly onto a custom gown designed for the specific performance. No performance will ever be the same​,​ each dress always unique​,​ the performance including exciting additions and guest features. Each brushstroke becomes a response—an echo of voice​,​ breath and motion—blurring the line between artist​,​ canvas and performer.
